Empowering and Sustainable
Swingin' Style seeks to empower young girls trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty and prostitution, by providing them an alternate means of earning their livelihood . Their training in the age - old craft of making hand knotted plastic wire bags equips them with a skill that would be useful to them throughout their lives .
Currently made of fully recyclable plastic, Swingin' Style has started moving towards using recycled plastic wires for their products.
The twin-vision of using plastic wastes which pollute the environment and at the same time empowering economically disadvantaged women drives this project.
